Music is a universal language that embodies one of the highest forms of creativity. At St Wilfrids’ we recognise music as an important part of the curriculum and all pupils from Foundation to Year 6, have dedicated music time each week with our specialist music teacher, Mrs Johnson.
Children will be taught to:
- Perform, listen to , review and evaluate a wide range of music, including the works of the great composers and musicians;
- Sing and create music;
- Understand and explore how music is created, produced and communicated.
The National Curriculum for Music can be found here.
