Our school meals, that meet the Government's new guidelines in Nutritional Standards, are cooked on the premises by our wonderful cook, Mrs Jones and her assistant, Mrs Gordon. This means
- More fruit and vegetables - No less than two servings a day, one will be vegetables or salad. Fruit is available every day.
- More oily fish - Oily fish such as mackerel or salmon will be served once every three weeks.
- Bread - a different bread will be available every day.
- Drinking water - Fresh drinking water is available over lunchtime.
Each week children are chosen to eat at the Golden Table for good attitudes and behaviour, a real honour! Mrs Jones organises themed days and competitions regularly.
Mealtimes are as follows:
Classes 1,2,3 - 12 -12.30pm
Classes 4,5: 12.30pm - 1pm
The price of a school meal is £2 for the first child or £10 per week. (£1.80 or £9 for subsequent children)
